Residents of R. A. Puram want the state to close down TASMAC’s Elite store on 2nd Main Road.
They say that the sidealk here gets crowded in the evenings as clients of the store hea dhere and that some people tend to consume liquor in the open around the area.
The Elite store stocks a varoety of Indian and imported liquor, all in large measures, unlike the TASMAC standard shops , said to sell cheap liquor and sold in small boittles/ packs.
Elite stores are the only places where people can shop for liquor of their choice. However, salesmen here have also skimmed extra money, topping the MRP from clients.
