Members of a community group called Voices of Mandavelipakkam ( VoM) met the Mylapore MLA, P. Venlataramanan recently and presented him issues that affect the community.
They have also asked him to join them on a walk around the zone to understand the issues. They suggested that officers of state agencies like GCC and the police must be part of the walk.
The plan is to cover Norton Rd – Mandaveli Street junction, TMS Road, Aavin booth area, 2nd Trust Main Road, Ashoka Pillar zone and Bharathi Nagar 1st Trust zone.
Saroj Satyanarayanan of VoM said that a walk of this nature will expose the MLA and officers to the civic and other issues that dominate the area.
GOOD idea. This kind of meetings and discussions should be organized by area public with the concerned MLAs all over Tamil Nadu. If time permits I would be delighted to invite HE Hon.
