Chettinad Vidyashram held its 41st annual Sports Meet at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on August 2.
The meet was declared open by Prasad Adelli, commissioner of customs, Chennai. School principal Dr. S. Amudha Lakshmi highlighted the achievements of the students in sports.
The event began with an impressive march past and the ceremonial lighting of the
Olympic torch, followed by vibrant drill displays, colourful performances by the
primary students and a synchronised yoga presentation.
Athletics events were also held.
Emerald House emerged as the overall champions of the sports meet.
