The theatre community of Queen Mary’s College is staging its fourth annual college play on September 24 and 25 at 2 p.m. at a hall in the campus.
The play is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Chitra’ – it directed by Divya Miriam Rhenius who has her own theatre company – Carpe Diem Productions.
QMC’s department of English has been taking this initiative through The Queen’s Theatre, its forum for theatre activities.
The first play was staged in October 2023 – Girish Karnad’s Hayavadana. The second in 2025, was Lorraine Hansberry’s ‘A Raisin in the Sun’. Both plays were directed by Dr. K. G. Naga Radhika.
The next was Badal Sircar’s ‘Land Beyond Hattamala’ was directed by M. Sangeetha.
