Three senior teachers of schools in Mylapore were recently honoured for their services by the Mission Guru Devo Bhava group at an event held at the DAV Girls School hall in Gopalapuram.
The three were – Janaki Gururajan, HM of Lady Sivaswamy Ayyar Girls Hr. Sec. School, Dr. R. Kala, HM of P. S. Higher Sec. School and J R Lakshmi Kanthan, HM of Children’s Garden School. ( seen in the photo used here)
The three were part of 10 city school teachers decorated with the Vidhya Seva Samman award which includes a cash award of Rs.50,000.
Mission Guru Devo Bhava is an initiative of S. Gurumurthy, chartered accountant-political activist to curate events / projects that support work of teachers.
He presented the awards to teachers.
The collaborators of this event were Lions Club of Meenambakkam and Vedritam Group ( formerly the DAV Group)
