V. Sankar of P. S.Higher Secondary School since 2018 was decorated with the Dr Radhakrishnan Award 2026 by the government of Tamil Nadu given to the ‘best’ teachers at an event held on September 5.
State education minister Raj Mohan presented the award.
Sankar began his teaching career at P. S. High School (North) before moving to the school off R. K. Mutt Road where he handles mathematics classes
Sankar said he always feels proud when he wears the scout uniform and heads the training for scouts. Under his guidance, Scouts of P. S, School have participated in annual camps and Rajya Puraskar camps.
Sankar is a three-time Himalayan Wood Badge holder, ( A Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder is an adult leader in the scouting movement who has completed advanced leadership and practical training recognised by The Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The school’s management led by Dr T. K. Varadarajan, Shyamala Jayaraman, Dr K. V. S. Gopalakrishnan and C. V. Krishnan felicitated Sankar.
