Two important events at Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore in the days ahead – On June 13 for vaikasi visagam, there will be sandhana abhishekam of lord Murugan, 5 p.m. onwards. On June 15 evening, lamps will be lit all over the temple and the tank as part of laksha deepam. This is pournami day.
The term of the trustees of Sri Kapali Temple headed by Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti got over sometime ago. Also, state appointed trustees in all major state temples have resigned after a new government took charge. Officials at the Mylapore temple said they expected the new set of trustees to take charge soon.
