Banwarilal Purohit, governor of Tamilnadu, is the chief guest at the 31st anniversary celebration of Association of Bharatanatyam Artistes of India (ABHAI) to be held on April 27 morning at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet.
Awards will be given to several artistes including veteran dancer and Rajya Sabha MP Sonal Mansingh, Jayashree Rajagopalan, founder-director, Nrithyodaya, Mumbai, vocalist and Harikatha artiste Girija Ramaswamy and dancer P. T. Narendran.
Bharatanatyam guru Padma Subrahmanyam will felicitate the awardees.
