St. Bede’s Academy student wins prize in national essay contest

Prem Sumanth, a student of class IX at St. Bede’s Academy, San Thome won the second prize at Voice 2019, a national-level essay competition, organised by Physical Research Academy, Department of Space, Government of India.

The contest was conducted to commemorate the birth centenary of Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai, the founder of the Physical Research Laboratory at Ahmedabad.

Prem’s essay titled ‘Home at a Distant Planet’ was shortlisted among over 1000 entries. The award consisted of a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 15000.
