Vaishnavite temples celebrate Sri Ramanuja’s jayanthi

Vaishanavite temples in Mylapore celebrated on Sunday, April 18 the jayanthi of  Sri
Ramanuja acharya, the great Vaishnavite philosopher and thinker.  The day marked his 1004th birth anniversary.

At all temples the pandemic time regulations curbed the traditional practices of the day.

The10-day utsavam took place within the temple premises in Sri Srinivasa
Perumal Temple, in Sri Madhava Perumal Temple and at Sri Keshava Perumal Temple.

The procession was held within the temple premises. The idol of the acharya in Sri Madhava Perumal Temple was decorated with a garland of manoranjitham, which is a rare flower.
