Sankara Nethralaya as part of the National Eye Donation campaign had organised a awareness rally at the Marina Beach on Sept.8.
The walk titled “Sankara Nethralaya’s Walk for Vision 2012” began from the Mahatma Gandhi Statue and ended at the Kannagi Statue.
The walk had a participation of 1,500 members comprising of students from various city colleges, members of leading corporate houses and senior management and staff members of Sankara Nethralaya.
Police official K. Radhakrishnan, IPS, Additional Director General of Police flagged off the rally and popular Film actor Srikanth was the guest of honour.
