ARTery – an art portal is organising a national festival of performing arts from Aug 13 – 16 at Chettinad Vidyashram, R. A. Puram. The event will be inaugurated by guests of honour N. Sivaraman, Director – L&T Finance Holdings, Dr. S. Sowmya and V. V. Sundaram on Aug 13 at 6 p.m. This will be followed by a musical and visual treat “Ramanatakam” by Dr. S. Sowmya.
Other events include a performance by Sanjeev Abhyankar and Anil Srinivasan on Aug 14 at 7.45 p.m., a bharatanatyam performance by dancer Shobhana and her group on Aug 15 at 6.45 p.m., an orchestral presentation by The Hybrid Division (school band from P. S. School, Mylapore) on Aug 16 at 5.15 p.m. and a musical/audio – visual retrospective on classical music in Tamil films by Suhasini Maniratnam on Aug 16 at 6.30 p.m. Ph: 9444018270, 9444018274.
