Probus Club of Chennai in association with Russian Centre of Science and Culture, Alwarpet is celebrating International Women’s Day on Mar 8. The ‘Probus Award of Excellence’ will be conferred on Jaya Krishnaswamy, director, Madhuram Narayanan Centre for Exceptional Children, Chennai at this event by the chief guest Chitra Venkataraman, retired judge, Madras High Court.
The ‘Probus Recognition Awards’ will be presented to probians Sakuntala Sundaram and Geetha Viswanathan. Renuka Sabanayagam, president, Inner Wheel Club of Madras and Mallika Venkhat Ramani, past district chairman, Innerwheel District 323 are the guests of honour.
Valentina Maiorova, Head of Russian Language Institute and A. S. Venkhat Ramani, president, Rotary Club of Madras will participate. T. S. Ramaswamy, president, Probus Club of Chennai will preside. At 74, Kasturi Rangan Road, Alwarpet, 3 p.m.
