Members of the BJP party in Mylapore undertook a Swaach Bharat effort on Sunday last as they marked the birtjday of prime minister Narendra Modi.
Lakshmi Suresh, vice-president of the party’s women wing, a former councillor and a Mylapore resident said that a few party people cleaned the streets off Chitrakulam, removing waste and vegetation.
