Even as people prepared on Monday morning for the puja, some to do Ayudha puja and others Saraswathi puja, the chariot of Sri Vendata Desikar Temple, Mylapore rolled down the temple’s neighbourhood streets, pulled along by a large number of women, children and youths in procession.
