Police stationed on the streets and roads of Mylapore have been tight in dealing with people crowding at strete corners or driving for no urgent reason.
In some junctions, police shouted and chased away groups of 4/5 youths while on the main roads, police asked two-wheeler riders reason for being out.
Police patrol vans are doing the rounds of colonies to warn people who are out and to ensure that law and order was in place.
