Another Sunday lockdown passed in almost total quiet on August 23 in the Mylapore zone.
We went around this morning the inner streets and colonies this time and found that people stayed indoors save for some instances where people were watering plants or chatting across the street.
Be it Prithvi Avenue in Alwarpet or Thiruveedhi Amman Koil Street in R A Puram or MRC Nagar’s inner streets, they were all deserted this Sunday morning.
Even the market zones were quiet, save for a hawker checking out the condition of his stall on South Mada Street, Mylapore.
