While all temples in the Mylapore zone have remained shut since late March due to pandemic time regulations, one small temple chose to open and celebrate Sri Vinayaka Chathurti today.
The Sri Shakti Vinayakar Temple is located in Kesavaperumalpuram in R. A. Puram ( close to the Greenways Road MRTS station area).
The gates here were open by dawn and pujas and rituals were conducted by the priests. Local residents visited the temple, all wearing masks and keep some distance – to pray and receive prasadam.
It was orderly and quiet here.
