Mylapore Head Post Office on Kutchery Road has resumed providing its services in its usual timings.
Until a few weeks ago, the post office had limited timings for its services, due to lockdown.
Now, following certain relaxations in lockdown regulations, they have restarted operating in their usual timings.
Said a senior staff at this office, “After lockdown relaxations, since mid-September, sufficient mail vans have been coming to deliver posts.”
“Hence, we have re-started working as we used to in the pre-Covid period.”
She says that speed post services are now offered between 8 am and 6.45 pm.
While one can book a registered post between 10 am and 4 pm, services related to money order/savings bank (SB) account or any other financial transaction are offered between 10 am and 3 pm.
In addition, Aadhaar related services (application of new Aadhaar card/ updation of details in the Aadhaar card) are also carried out here from 10 am to 3 pm.
Open from 8 am to 6.45 pm on all days except Sundays. Services are provided using a token system to avoid crowding. For details call the post office at 24642805.
