Sapota tree on terrace garden nurtures a nest now

The terrace garden in San Thomite Colin D’ Souza’s space has among others, a sapota tree.

Over the past two days, Colin has found that birds have created a nest and the work is in progress.

Colin says his garden sees lots of activity now and then.

Located on top of his apartments building on Custian Beach Road, Colin says his sapota tree bears good fruit the year round.

“I bought the sapling that is grafted at the Agri-Horticultural Society on Cathedral Road and after the first phase of taking care of it, the tree has been on its own,” says Colin, a well-known reflexology expert.

The saplings cost about Rs.250 and can be grown in a large pot.
