Lockdown: Bonda, vada parcels roll out quick at small eatery

Lockdown Sunday has to make exemptions for the hungry who depend on street food stalls.
Food joints are allowed to hand out parcelled food on Sunday and one little popular nook, Sri Kalathi was busy early Sunday morning.
R. Bharath, the owner  said while the usual morning tiffin parcel services were available and
bondas and vadais saw quick sales, the shop saw only 15% of a typical Sunday morning business.
As people queued up here to pick up parcels, orders for dosai and poori were steady too.
Orders through online apps constituted a large part of the business this Sunday morning.  Said Bharath, “We kept the parcels ready and the exchange was quick because we didn’t want a crowd at our stall.”
