Students at GCC High School in Mylapore get vaccinated

Some 40 students of Class 10 at the Chennai High School in Mylapore’s Veera Perumal Koil Street prepared themselves to take the vaccination this Tuesday morning on campus.

This was the first camp held in Mylapore zone where teens are now going to be vaccinated against the Corona virus.

A junior doctor contracted by GCC and a nurse, supported by the school faculty began giving the jab from 11 a.m..

“We should be done by noon since the numbers are small here,” said a school staff who made the students, boys and girls sit apart in chairs in the school yard and by turn, walk across to get the jab.

GCC intends to target government-run schools in this phase of the vaccination.
