Once a year, Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya school in Mylapore remembers its past and popular school principal, G. Neelakantan. The school does this by hosting a public lecture for senior students. All in his memory and for the ideals he stood for.
So on Nov.21, Monday, S. Selvakumar, CEO of Maruthi Power Controls, was the guest speaker at this 2022 event and he was invited to speak on ‘Your Life – Your Choice’. It was a theme that Neelakantan always chose to put on top of his agenda – doing all that would helps students make career and life choices.
Selvakumar chose to walk up and down the aisle of the auditorium and interact closely with students of senior classes.
This event is an initiative of Neelakantan’s family and the society that manages this school.
Said vice-principal, Jashoda Sundar ,”We have continued to pursue Neelakantan sir’s vision and often invite guests to talk to our students.”
