Local area councillors have organised area sabha meets this week and some plan to have them this weekend or in the days to come.
Councillor Amirda Varshini ( Congress ) of Ward 126 hosted a meet for Area 2 which covers many parts of Mandavelipakkam. The meet was held on Friday morning, at Kalyan Nagar Association hall. Local area government officials / engineers participated. ( first photo)
This is the second area meet that has been held in this ward. The first was held in Jeth Nagar.
Councillor Vimala Krishamurthy ( DMK) of Ward 124 hosted her first area sabha meet at P K Mahal, near Chitrakulam on Friday morning. Officials of the local area units were present here. ( photos below)
Councillor Revathy ( DMK ) of Ward `125 said she was looking for a venue for her area sabha meet.
Councillor Saraswathy ( CPI-M) of Ward 123 said she had made arrangements at a Alwarpet school to hold a meet this weekend but the school could not accommodate this meet and she will look for another venue.
Councillor 121 Mathivannan (DMK) said he held an area sabha meeting earlier this week at his office located off R. H. Road, near the Valluvar statue bus stop.
