Rowers at the Madras Boat Club say that they have not been able to row on the Adyar river because huge swathes of hyacinth have covered most parts of the river on the north side.
Rower Gayathree Krishna shared photos of the current situation and says that the hyacinth flows down from the west side and clogs the waters here.
