Mylapore MLA and state minister P.. Venkataramanan held a meeting at the TN Urban Habitat Board office off Kamarajar Salai. on June 1.
The Board redevelops blocks of the previous Slum Clearance Board.
Officials briefed the minister on the housing allocations made this far during the past government tenure, pending sanctions and recent developments and ongoing projects in Mylapore.
Re-development of old blocks and allotment is a sensitive issue in Mylapore which is home to a large number of such zones.
While Kuyil Thottam blocks are ready and people have to move in, many issues are still burning in Palakkumanyam Nagar while development is on along the Loop Road and off V K Road, Mandaveli.
