Dr. S. A. Joseph, retired professor and distinguished parasitologist, passed away peacefully on 6 June 2026 at his residence in Mandavellipakkam at the age of 93.
A revered teacher, mentor, and scholar, Dr. Joseph served the Madras Veterinary College with dedication and passion. His invaluable guidance, commitment to teaching, and generous contributions to the Department of Parasitology reflected his deep love for the discipline and his desire to nurture future generations of veterinarians.
Fondly remembered by countless students, he had a remarkable ability to make complex subjects simple and engaging through clear explanations, sketches, and real-life experiences.
Post retirement , he was the principal of Patrician College, Adyar.
He was also an active member of the Vincent De Paul Society of Our Lady of Guidance Church in R A Puram.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and their families.
