Ananya Raman, a resident of Mylapore and a class 12 student of Vidya Mandir impressed at the Commonwealth Chess Championship held in Sri Lanka on May 26.
The event was organised by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka along with Commonwealth Chess Association and FIDE (International Chess Federation).
Ananya won three silver medals — in the under-18, under-20 and under-20 Blitz categories.
She has been training at Chola Chess Academy.
