Memories of Meena Aunty dominate Chettinad Vidyashram’s annual alumni meet

Memories of the founding correspondent of the school, Dr. Meena Muthiah, lovingly called ‘Meena Aunty’,  who passed away recently, dominated conversations at Chettinad Vidyashram’s annual Alumni Meet on June 28.

The programme opened with a warm tribute to Meena Aunty. Dr. S.K. Pugalenthy, Tamil teacher shared anecdotes on her contribution to the school community.

Students honoured her memory with a dance performance and a fashion show, showcasing Chettinad
heritage collections.

The blood donation camp held for this occasion got a good response.

The alumni reconnected with teachers and students, sharing stories that spanned decades. Notable alumni took the stage to share stories. Pranav Padmachandran, founder of High on Dance and president of ACOD, and Dushyant, entrepreneur and founder, Crea-Shakti Theatre Club, shared their campus stories too.

Music carried the emotion of the day. There was a special performance by chief guests Vinu
Vardhan and Mithran who featured in the TV show Super Singer Junior 11. Later, Saindhavi, renowned playback singer and a distinguished alumna, along with Neha Girish and Balaji sang for the guests.
