Feast of St. Thomas was held at the National Shrine of St. Thomas for a week. There were special novenas and Holy Mass held here daily.
A car procession was held on July 7.
The decorated car bearing the image of St. Thomas was taken on a procession from Our Lady of Guidance Church, R. A. Puram to the National Shrine of St. Thomas.
Children, women, men and elders led the procession. They sang songs and recited prayers.
Small children dressed in white decorated the path with flowers.
Rev. Dr. A. M. Chinnappa, Arch Bishop of Madras – Mylapore celebrated a Solemn High Mass after the procession.
The feast concluded on July 8.
