Time to remember one of Mylapore’s legendary artiste – Papanasam Sivan.
The 123rd birth anniversary celebration of this Carnatic music guru, composer and film music director is to be held this evening (Sept.26) at the main hall of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
This evening’s event starts with a group rendering of Sivan’s famed ‘Kapaleeswarar Pancharatnam’, followed by the award of prizes to artistes who won in theme-based music contests and finally a concert by S. Sowmya.
The event starts at 5 p.m. and is open to all.
