Low-profile church feast begins with flag-hoisting and Holy Mass

A three-day, low profile celebration of the annual feast at the Our Lady of Guidance Church in R. A. Puram started this Tuesday evening with the hoisting of the flag.

A small number of people, joined four priests led by parish priest Fr. Y. F. Bosco in the ceremony following which Holy Mass was celebrated.

A symbolic procession will be held on Wednesday and the feast celebrated the next day.

What used to be a week-long feast has been curtailed. The three-day plan was scheduled for this weekend but since new regulations of the state require places of prayer and worship to be shut on weekends, the feast was advanced.
