Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin and state governor R N Ravi led ministers and guests while paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue on the Marina in Mylapore to mark Gandhi’s birth anniversary.
The pedestal was decorated with flowers for the occasion and guests were invited to offer flowers here.
Later, groups of students also came by to pay homage and the public joined in too.
Sadly, this statue, located at a key junction does not have any proper lighting and stays in the dark after dusk.
