Wheelchair Trust and IWC Chennai unit donates wheelchair to tailor

IWC Chennai Symphony recently sponsored a motorised wheelchair for a person whose lower limbs are totally paralysed due to polio in his childhood. He is a tailor by profession and stitches ladies’ clothing.
This project’s cost was Rs 50,000.
Wheelchair Trust of India, with its office at Alwarpet sponsored Rs 25,000 and IWC Chennai Symphony president Sowmya Shankar ( who lives in Alwarpet) sponsored Rs.25000.
Wheelchair Trust of India, a 15 year old charitable Trust with office at 18/28, Desika Road, distributes price-subsidised state-of-the-art motorised wheelchairs and tricycles to deserving persons with disabilitiesĀ  under its ‘Wheels for All’ scheme. It hasĀ  distributed over 200 power wheelchairs and tricycles since 2017.
