Karam Korpom group joins hands with students to beautify wall of Mandaveli school

The public wall of Venugopal Vidyalaya school which is located opposite the MRTS rail station in Mandaveli not only looks colourful now but also sports messages meant for students and their parents.

The wall got a fresh look on Sunday when members and volunteers of Karam Korpom Foundation, a NGO, led by the Shivakumars, got to work here, repainting the wall and then drawing and painting simple images that catch the eye now.

They were joined by a small group of the school’s students.

The Foundation says the school’s president, K. Anilkumar Reddy suggested the idea to the NGO and the latter agreed to work on the wall, something that Karam has done at many schools across the city.

Karam Korpom says it has completed about 75 such projects, its intention is to ‘beautify’ public walls which are either vandalised or are dirty.

It looks for supporters who can fund their projects and chooses schools / campuses that wish to collaborate.
