A very large tree branch fell down in Raja Street Velayutharaja Street corner on Sunday but nobody was hurt nor was there any great damage to property.
Since this was a large branch that had fallen down, it blocked the traffic here.
Residents came out to help clear the fallen branch to make the passage motorable. Soon, personnel from the E5 police station landed up on being alerted and helped to clear the fallen branch.
Local resident Ganga Sridhar said, ” The GCC park overseer team for ward 171 really needs to be proactive to do regular tree pruning.”
Residents wished to thank and appreciate the prompt action by E5 police team who responded faster than GCC staff.
