New pavement alongside Nageswara Rao Park will serve pedestrians well

Renovation of Nageswara Rao Park is dragging on at snail’s pace. But the pavement on its eastern side is getting a final touch.
Metal railings have been installed and workers are seen giving the final touch to the paver blocks of the floor.
This will allow people to walk freely on this side of the road, a welcome facility since vehicles which include large MTC buses are part of heavy traffic on this road due to traffic diversions in place due to Chennai Metro project work.

  1. For Pedestrian to walk freely in the pavement no vendors should be allowed to encroach. It should be ment for walking freely. In South Mada Street Mylapore Pedestrian walking space abbuting the tank is occupied by chat shop ,vegetable vendor, and Cattle menace.Senior citizen still walk in the road.
