Local dance school hosts two day dance festival

More than 170 dancers from all over India including Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana and Bengaluru participated in a dance festival held at P. S. School, Mylapore on Dec 22 and 23.

The event, organised by Abhiramapuram based SKS Cultural Foundation in association with Sri Rangaramanuja Veekayes Cultural Council, was inaugurated by upanyasam expert U. Ve. Vaduvoor Veeraraghavachariar Swami. Bharatanatyam dancer Dr. Swarnamalya Ganesh was a guest at the event. Dancer guru, Chandrakala Jaganathan and music composer and lyricist R. Venkata Subramaniam were honoured at the event.

Titles were conferred on all the gurus and solo performers. Participation certificates and mementoes were distributed to all. A presentation on the usefulness of yoga, meditation and vegetarianism was also given at the event.
