Carnatic music concert to celebrate memory of passionate rasika

J. Seetharaman, who retired as senior executive Reserve Bank of India, was a passionate Carnatic music rasika and was a regular at the Mylapore sabhas during the December music season concerts here.
This is his centenary year and his children – Abhiramapuram resident Chitra Sivakumar and her brothers S. Ravindran and S. Vaitheeswaran – have set up an endowment fund that will support an annual concert on his birthday, August 27, every year by young artists.
This event is being hosted under the banner of Samudhaaya Foundation, set up and managed by senior music artiste, Sudha Ragunathan.
The first concert is by vocalist Kruthi Bhat on August 27 at TAG Centre, TTK Road, Alwarpet ( diagonally opposite Narada Gana Sabha hall). Open to all.
