Is the work undertaken by various contractors for Chennai Metro damaging other services like water, power and internet in Mylapore zone?
Some Mylaporeans are reporting that it is, from recent experiences.
Here is one case quoted by Ganapathi S Vibhu of East Abiramapuram.
He says TANGEDCO has mentioned that some careless work by the workers of the Chennai Metro rail project might have been the cause of the fire at its sub station that took place last week.
He says, some weeks ago, Airtel had also told them that their fibre broadband cables were affected because of the CMRL work near Luz Church Road Second Street.
On a recent morning, Metro Water staff said that the CMRL work is causing blockage of drains.
On that day of sub station fire power went off around 11 pm and was restored around 11 am next day in Luz areas. AS the summer season started spending a whole night without power is so horrible. All concerned departments should function ina co-ordinated manner in future to avoid such recurrence.
Yes true…we also facing water problem..very less amount of water only coming. Previously we get good water flow..now after metro work started it got reduced..
