These youths won prizes at national-level karate meet. Classes are held at Vidya Mandir, Rohini Gardens

Students of Wado Ryu Karate school took part in the national-level karate championship held at Thiruthuraipoondi, Thiruvarur district in Tamil Nadu in early February and won trophies in various categories.
Narendaran S. G won the first place in kata and was placed second  in kumite. Mithun Kumar S. won the first place in kata and got the third place in kumite.
A.S. Kumaresh won the first prize in kata , A.S. Jashwanthan was placed first in kata, Amrita Udhayakumar won the  first prizes in kata and in kumite and Hari Ganesh T. J. was placed second  in kata.
The students are trained by Renshi S. Vikram.
This karate school is at 15, 4th Main Road, Gandhi Nagar,  Adyar.  Weekend classes are undertaken at Vidya Mandir school campus, Mylapore and at the Police Quarters campus in Rohini Gardens.
