Tamilnadu Billiards and Snooker Association has moved to Mandaveli

The Tamilnadu Billiards and Snooker Association, which functioned out of Gopalapuram, has now shifted to Devanathan Street, Mandaveli.

The association was registered as a society on July 2, 1981. The founder president was G. Narasimhan, founder of The Hindu. It is affiliated to Billiards and Snooker Federation of India. The association has hosted several tournaments and several of its members have played and won at international and national tournaments.

Ganesh Namasivayan, the general secretary of the association says, “We are planning to conduct camps for children this summer. And from June we will start regular classes for adults and children. We also plan to have classes for women in the morning”.

He continues, “We will be conducting the Padmashree M. H. P. Rao Memorial open doubles snooker tournament from April 19 to 26. The entry fees is Rs. 2000 per team”.

The premises can be used by members only. Their current president is Soumini Srinivas, the first lady to be elected as president of the association.
