Schools remain closed as rain continues. Water rolls into tank of Sri Kapali Temple.

The school zones of Mylapore have fallen silent this Monday as the state declared a holiday in view of the steady rains that have hot the city since Sunday evening.

Though there were no signs of streets or roads flooding or water stagnation to a large extent, the holiday was declared in view that the rains could continue through the day.

A good sight for all those who walked down South Mada Street or Tank Street was to see the copious stream of rainwater rolling into the tank of Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore.
