Annual festival at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple; From Sep 22

The annual festival of Sri Vedanta Desikar at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, Mylapore will be held from Sep 22 till Oct 1. Daily events include a procession in the morning and the evening and a thirumanjanam for the deity.

Other events include the Golden Garuda sevai on Sep 24, Sri Hayagreeva aradanam on Sep 28 and the car festival on Sep 30. Satrumurai falls on Oct 1 with mangalasasanam at 5 a.m. followed by thirumanjanam for Desikar and Perumal at 11 a.m. In the evening on the same day, a procession will follow oyyali sevai.
