Carnatic music and awards programme

From September 1 to 3, numerous performers such as A. Kanyakumari and Embar S. Kannan, O. S. Thyagarajan, Mambalam Sisters, O. S. Arun and many more will take the stage at Alwarpet from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On September 4, the Sadguru Gnananda Sangeeth Sammelan is hosting the ‘Sangeetha Vidwath Sadas’ and conferring titles of ‘Sangeetha Sreshta’ on Dr. R. Vedavalli, and ‘Sangeetha Mani’ on Srirangam S. Kannan. Kudanthai R. Balasundaram (violin) and Guruvayur Dorai (mridangam) will also be honoured on the occassion.

At Narada Gana Sabha, T. T. K. Road, Alwarpet, from 6.15 p.m. onwards.
